The Cherner Chair Company minimizes the environmental impact of the manufacturing process in a number of ways--including using finishes that don't pollute the air. Our standard finishes are:

1 Beech
2 Red Gum
3 Classic Walnut/ Natural Walnut
4 Stella Orange
5 Ebony
6 White Lacquer

Water-Based Stains/ Clear Coats:

A switch from solvent- to water-based stains and clear coats on all standard veneers have yielded greater color consistency and fewer VOCs. This change has allowed The Cherner Chair Company's use a completely water-based veneer finishing system on all of our products.

Powder Coat:

This technique eliminates volatile organic compounds (VOCs), makes product renewal and recycling easier, and allows a more streamlined manufacturing process.
